Web design built for conversion
Every page we design has one main job, such as a call, a booking, a demo request or an order. Each decision on the page is made to help a visitor do that job.
- Structure
- We plan which pages you need and what goes on each one, based on how buyers search and what they need to know before they get in touch. Navigation stays short and every page has a clear next step.
- Copy
- We write the words before the design starts. Headlines say what you do and who it is for. Body copy answers the questions that stop people from buying.
- Design
- Clean layouts, readable type and calls to action that stand out on a phone as well as a desktop. Your brand carries through, and nothing on the page competes with the main action.
- Development
- We build on Webflow, WordPress, Shopify or Astro, depending on who will edit the site and what it needs to do. Every build ships with analytics and conversion tracking in place.
How it works
Web design and CRO follow the same five steps as every Octaneo service, scoped to your site.
- Audit
- We review your site, page speed and the path from landing page to enquiry or checkout, plus your analytics if you give us access. You get a written list of what stops visitors from converting and where the fastest gains are.
- Plan
- We decide whether you need a rebuild, a few new pages or a run of tests on what you have, and which pages come first. You approve it before work starts.
- Launch
- Tracking gets fixed first, so every form, call and order is counted. Then we design, build and launch the pages in the plan.
- Test and optimize
- We test changes to forms, offers, page layout and checkout against the current version, and keep the ones that bring in more enquiries or orders.
- Report
- Each month you get a plain-English report on what we changed, what each test showed and what we will test next.
Conversion rate optimization: research, tests and analytics
Conversion rate optimization means getting more of the visitors you already have to take action. It starts with research rather than guesses.
We look at where people drop off in GA4, watch session recordings and heatmaps, read your form and checkout data, and ask customers what nearly stopped them from buying. That tells us which pages to work on and what to change.
Then we test. Common tests cover the form (fewer fields, clearer labels), the offer (a free consultation instead of a quote request, a trial instead of a demo) and checkout (fewer steps, clearer delivery costs, more payment options).
Clean analytics hold it together. We set up events for every action that matters, so each test is judged on enquiries and orders.
Landing pages for paid ads
An ad that sends people to your homepage makes them hunt for what they clicked on. We build landing pages that match each ad: the same promise, the same offer and one clear action.
Each campaign or ad group can have its own page, and we test versions against each other once there is enough traffic. When Octaneo also runs your ads, the ad copy and the landing page are written together.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Slow pages lose visitors before they see your offer, and Google uses page experience signals, including Core Web Vitals, in how it ranks pages.
We keep pages light: compressed images, minimal scripts, fonts that load fast and no heavy plugins doing jobs a few lines of code can do. We build every page to pass Core Web Vitals on mobile, test it before launch and check real visitor data in Search Console once there is enough traffic.
What a CRO test looks like, from hypothesis to result
Every test follows the same five stages, written down before it starts.
- Hypothesis
- A plain statement based on the research, such as: if we cut the quote form from nine fields to four, more visitors will send it, because recordings show people leaving at the phone and budget fields.
- Design
- We build the new version and decide in advance which number decides the test, such as form sends, orders or revenue per visitor.
- Run
- Both versions run at the same time, with traffic split between them. We leave the test alone until enough visitors have seen each version to trust the result.
- Read the result
- We check whether the difference is real or noise, and look at phone and desktop separately in case they behave differently.
- Ship or drop
- Winners go live for everyone. Losers are dropped, and what we learned shapes the next test.
Pricing
The cost depends on whether you need a new site, a set of landing pages or ongoing tests on the site you have, and on the platform. We don't sell fixed packages yet. After the free audit we send a written plan, and the price for the work is in it.
What you get each month
- A plain-English report on what we changed and what each test showed
- New tests on forms, offers, layout or checkout
- New or improved landing pages, as set in your plan
- Speed and Core Web Vitals checks on key pages
- Analytics checks so every enquiry and order is counted
Who it is for
Websites for local and small businesses
A fast site with a page for each service, your phone number and booking options easy to find on mobile, and forms that are quick to fill in. Built so you can update prices and opening hours yourself.
Websites and CRO for startups and SaaS
A homepage and product pages that explain what you do in plain words, pricing and demo pages that answer objections, and sign-up flows tested to turn more visitors into trials.
CRO for online stores
Product pages, cart and checkout tested for more orders and higher order value, plus faster category pages. Shopify suits most stores, and every change is judged on revenue per visitor.
